The third Bioeconomy Council, composed of high-ranking personalities from science, business and civil society, advises the German government as an independent and neutral body on the implementation of the National Bioeconomy Strategy by issuing recommendations and statements. At the same time, the Bioeconomy Council will promote public debate. The members of the Council are appointed for an initial period of three years.
