QIAGEN supports the location of Hilden with the biggest investment of the company’s history; the state government supports with 18 M €

Qiagen invests more than 110 M € in Hilden, Maryland, and Barcelona to expand its production capacity of Corona tests.

With the biggest investment in the company’s history, QIAGEN continues its efforts in the global fight against the Covid-19 pandemic with increasing its production capacity in Hilden, Maryland, and Barcelona. Besides, the company focus on expanding its product portfolio in new test solutions for Covid-19 applications. The state government of North-Rhine Westphalia supports the expansion at Hilden with 18 M € until the end of 2020.

QIAGEN employs worldwide around 5.200 employees at 35 locations, with 1.200 thereof at Hilden.
