Reims – around 130 km from Paris – is not only known for its champagne production, but is also home to the Bazancourt-Pomacle biorefinery. The visit to the biorefinery was a highlight of the trip. In particular, the opportunity to get an impression of the huge site from the roof of the Bazancourt-Pomacle refinery and the many interesting explanations. In addition, leading scientists from the URCA gave us insights into their laboratories and their exciting research. Finally, the start-up incubator INNOVACT presented its work.

Thanks to Anne Desveronnieres, Vice-President -Environment, energy transition and bioeconomy at Grand Reims urban Community and Dimitri Oudin, Deputy Mayor -International Relations, events, commemorations at Reims city and Essaïd Aït Barka, Vice-President of international Relations at URCA for the hospitable and open welcome.
