Post-epidemic era and digital transformation, a new platform and new opportunity for investment and cooperation of life and health companies

On the occasion of Medica (the world’s largest hospital and medical technology exhibition) in Düsseldorf, some German health and medical industry clusters participated in Sino-German Life and Health Industry Cooperation and Exchange Conference 2021 organized by the China International Investment Promotion Center CIPA. This conference was initiated jointly by the German Trade and Invest (GTAI) and China International Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA), attracted more than 30 live participants and 100 online listeners from China and Germany on 16 November 2021.

The meeting exchanged views on future Sino-German cooperation in medical-related industries. Director Liu Dianxun of the Investment Promotion Agency of the China Ministry of Commerce participated in the speech, encouraging the medical and health departments of the two countries to innovate in cooperation methods, promote the integration of digital technology and traditional medical models.

After the meeting, Dr. Garthoff, the CEO of BIO CM, signed a memorandum of understanding on future cooperation with Mr. Xu Yaojun, director of China International Investment Promotion Agency (Germany). In the future, China and Germany will hold regular internal meetings of the working group, organize exchange visits of delegations, establish a project database, and share information, so as to promote the development of the two countries into the medical industry more efficiently.
