Pioneers from NRW – Hunting the pathogen with biosensors
In our series Pioneers from NRW, Gabriela Figueroa Miranda and Viviana Rincón Montes talk about their exciting work at Forschungszentrum Jülich. The postdocs and entrepreneurs talk about their academic careers, their stations in Mexico, Colombia and Spain and how they finally came to Jülich. They will also talk about their research, in particular about biosensors that can detect certain diseases or parasites and how they use novel molecules for identification. And, of course, they will also talk about technology transfer, funding programmes and market readiness. So if you’ve ever wanted to know more about the potential of biosensors to detect malaria, for example, don’t miss this highly interesting five minutes!
