Biotechnology from North Rhine-Westphalia – High-Tech Ideas go to market

Biotechnology in medicine is an interdisciplinary field. Biological knowledge combined with technological methods constantly opens up new fields of application in medicine. This combined expertise enhances the precision of diagnostic techniques and accelerates the availability of results. 

In therapeutic approaches, drugs are becoming more effective – for example, through the modelling of new active molecules, improved formulations, and innovative methods of administration.
 
After a short introduction to the diversity of biotech companies in NRW, Noscendo GmbH will talk about their efforts to bring a new method for pathogen diagnostics to market that is particularly advantageous for patients in critical situations in their presentation “High-Tech Ideas Go to Market”. The founders of the young diagnostic company Detechgene GmbH will then present their “PCR to go” and talk about the idea of integrating high-tech diagnostics in patient care. This is an approach that offers huge advantages, particularly in regions with weak infrastructure. The final presentation will look at a groundbreaking therapeutic approach with a completely new type of drug administration that is both patient-focused and cost-effective.
