Definitions, backgrounds, specific funding tools and relevance for NRW are discussed. The bioeconomy now has its own tab on the BIO.NRW homepage.
As already announced in the last newsletter, we have been working on new content for the BIO.NRW homepage in the past months. Today we can present the new topic page “Bioeconomy”.
As a network for biotechnology and bioeconomy in NRW it is important for us to represent all our topics, to connect actors and to provide them with relevant information. Therefore, we have dedicated a separate section of the homepage to the large field of bioeconomy.
Content of the page
- You can find a historical overview of the development of the bioeconomy concept at regional, national and global levels.
- A listing of specific subsidies and venture capital funds for start-ups and researching companies active in the bioeconomic field should help you to quickly find relevant financing for your company or projects.
- A selection of further information, relevant documents and links to the bioeconomy in Germany and Europe is available.
Focus NRW!
Of course, we do not want to neglect our focus on NRW in the bioeconomy. Therefore, is on the site a small section on the question “Why bioeconomy in North Rhine-Westphalia?” In the future, there will be a list of companies, institutes, partners and projects active in the bioeconomy in NRW.
