Reims – around 130 km from Paris – is not only known for its champagne production, but is also home to the Bazancourt-Pomacle biorefinery. The visit to the biorefinery was a highlight of the trip. In particular, the opportunity to get an impression of the huge site from the roof of the Bazancourt-Pomacle refinery and the many interesting explanations. In addition, leading scientists from the URCA gave us insights into their laboratories and their exciting research. Finally, the start-up incubator INNOVACT presented its work.
