BIO.NRW.eco is an associated cluster in MPowerBio, which support start-ups and SMEs in the bio-based industries and helps them secure sufficient investments.
MPowerBio is a project funded by BBI JU, which aims to support clusters within the bio-based industries across Europe and helps SMEs overcome the challenge of securing sufficient investment to scale. The project will run until the end of 2022 and aims to prepare a total of 250 SMEs for investment.
As part of this, MPowerBio has launched the Business Support Programme which gathers high-potential start-ups/SMEs and scale-ups from bio-based industries and provides:
- experienced start-up coaches
- investors
- industry experts
- an entrepreneurial environment
In addition, a six-week online training course starting in summer 2022, delivered by MPowerBIO in-house growth experts, will provide bio-based SMEs and scale-ups with tailor-made sessions covering various topics such as:
- reporting and exit strategies
- market validation
- financial planning
- IPR protection
- matching company growth and EU funding opportunities
- creating and delivering a compelling investor pitch deck
- and much more
The best part about the programme is that it offers direct access to investors at regional and final events.Â
